Welcome to Southeast of Saline Parents as Teachers
Southeast of Saline Parents as Teachers program is available for any family that lives in our district and has an infant, toddler, or preschooler. We provide monthly home visits with fun activities for families to do together that promotes healthy development during the first 5 years of life. The curriculum is researched based and activities are mostly home-made toys that you can make for your child, too.
The majority of the program is done in your home when your schedule permits, but there are also group events that families are invited to. We have weekly storytimes at the Gypsum Community Library and Tumbling Tuesday the 2nd Tuesday of each month during the regular school year. We also have occasional storytimes at Rolling Hills Zoo and information about community events that pertain to young families.
As part of the home visits, we provide a health, hearing, vision, and developmental screening to make sure that your child is developing on track. If there are concerns, we connect you with additional resources.
Please call us to enroll in this fun, free, parenting program. We have openings and would love to get to know you and your family.
