    Southeast of Saline USD 306.  The COVID19 situation is evolving on a daily basis.  Attached are several press releases that should help you keep up to date.  The school building has closed for all but eccential personnel and there will be no office hours.  The district office will be open from 10 to 2 Monday through Thursday.  As we now have confirmed cases in Saline County and McPherson County, it is vital that we all practice the safety recommendations put out by local and national health departments.  Social distancing is required.  Face coverings are recommended.  Staying at home is best.

    Distance learning has launched.  It is very important to engage with the teachers so that we can make the most of this difficult situation. It is also important that students develop a routine for their school work. Because we do not have bells and buses regulating our school day under the new format we must establish our own reminders to work on school or we will find ourselves distracted or procrastinating and getting behind.

    School Lunches are being served at Kipp and Mentor from 11:00 to 12:00. Lunch service in Gypsum and Assaria is serving from 11:00 to 12:30. Lunches are served to all resident children from age 1 to 18 regardless of enrollment status.

    Teaching and practicing excellent hygiene is the best prevention against COVID-19, as well as other illnesses.
        • WASH hands often with soap and water. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
        • AVOID touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
        • AVOID contact with people who are sick.
        • STAY home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
        • COVER your mouth-nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
